In the small and picturesque village of Mollepata, we’ll enjoy a well-deserved breakfast to fuel up for the day. Then, we’ll continue our journey to the starting point of our trek to the village of Soraypampa, located at an altitude of 3,900 meters (12,795 feet). After a short break, we’ll begin our trek towards Humantay Lagoon, situated at an altitude of 4,200 meters (13,779 feet). After an approximately 1 hour and 20 minute ascent, we’ll be able to appreciate the magnificent Humantay Lagoon and, on the other side, the imposing Salkantay Mountain. After our guide’s explanation and taking souvenir photos, we’ll have some time to enjoy the scenery before returning to our campsite in Soraypampa.
