Full Itinerary
Day 1: City Tour Cusco
A day of leisure in the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the morning, you will explore the impressive temple-fortresses of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara, and Tampumachay. Around midday, you will enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the traditional restaurants. After lunch, we will continue exploring Cusco’s ancient streets and walk a short distance to reach the extraordinary Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha), the most important Inca religious site in the lower part of Cusco. The temple’s sumptuous walls and floors were once covered in sheets of solid gold and silver. This temple was once one of the most important religious sites for the Inca people in the city of Cusco. On this tour we also visit a local market where you can taste freshly baked Chuta bread, and we will still see some local products, handicrafts, fresh fruits, takeaway food and delicious and nutritious juice mix, then you walk to the main square where you will feel like you are in the center of the heart of the puma (because Cusco, the capital of the Inca Empire, was designed in the shape of a puma) and from here, you can see the colonial buildings, the cathedral and other churches around, eventually we will go back to the hotel.
