Full Itinerary
Day 1: Sacred Valley of the Incas
Full-day guided tour of the Sacred Valley, visiting important Inca sites such as Pisac, Ollantaytambo, and Chinchero, as well as local attractions (for example, a “Chicheria,” a place where you can enjoy a typical local corn beer and play the frog game). In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and then drive to the Sacred Valley, making several stops along the way to enjoy the unique views. Later, we will arrive at the Pisac archaeological site, where our guide will share the rich history of the area. After you continue driving through the Sacred Valley, you will arrive in the town of Urubamba, where you will have lunch at one of the restaurants. After lunch, you will visit the Inca site of Ollantaytambo, where you will be amazed by the impressive Temple of the Sun and other Inca-era constructions. After visiting this site, you will return to Cusco. On the way, you will stop in Chinchero to visit its Inca temples and colonial churches, and finally, you will head back to Cusco.
In short, each Inca site offers breathtaking views and a rich history, and you’ll be amazed by the architectural styles, walls, palaces, granaries, temples, terraces, and more. Another way to visit the Sacred Valley is by exploring the Inca sites of Chinchero, Moray, the Maras salt mines, and Ollantaytambo. We offer these two options because the Sacred Valley of the Incas has several Inca sites to visit, and depending on your preferences, please let us know in advance which option you’re considering so we can offer that service to you.
